After a long stressful day at work, all we need is a long hot bath in our tubs and we are whisked away into a world of total relaxation and after a few minutes, we forget our hard day. But what if we see rust stains in our relaxation tubs? Are we still bound to a never-never land of indulgence? The answer would probably be – not, not anymore.
Here are tips to prevent rusting in your toilet including your tub. With these prevention tips, there’s no more reason for a laborious rust removal. You are sure to have a clean and rust-free tub all the time!
- Apply petroleum jelly around the drain holes of your toilet. This process helps prevent toilet and bath tub rusts as well as on little screws.
- At least twice a month, drain you toilet and fill it with hot water. This will help soften the buildup. Allow it to drain then scrub before it is filled up again.
- Keep baby wipes handy inside the toilet. These wipes can be used to “freshen up” by anybody of any age. These wipes could also be used in giving a toilet seat a quick wipe after every use.
- When you’re cleaning the toilet seat, make sure to clean every nook and cranny including the screws.

Some commercial cleaners contain toxins which can cause a wide range of health hazards. The most common of which being food poisoning, skin diseases and respiratory problems. You may use a paste or your choice of cleaning products for a convenient process. Let it sit there for several hours then scrub with a toilet brush afterwards. Finally, rinse thoroughly.
