Today more and more people are buying secondhand cars. Depreciation happens in a short span of time and so interested car buyers have now been favoring used cars over brand new to save up on money. This phenomenon is not only advantageous to car buyers. Even car owners can also take advantage this through the buy and sell business. All they need to do is very simple - keep their cars looking brand new. For them to do so, they need to be familiar with rust removal processes such as these.

  1. Before you start, cover up portions of the car which you don’t want to get dusty. You may roll down your windows too.
  2. Use a grinder to remove the paint around the rust spot. To take off the paint and the primer, you may use a sanding wheel for an easier and thorough process. Use your fingers to test the smoothness of the surface.
  3. To remove thick rust and when getting into pits, use a sanding wheel. Be very careful when using the sanding wheel as this can cause too much damage to your car when not properly used. You may use your trusted rust remover when doing this process to remove the other microscopic particles of rust.
  4. Now it’s time to prepare the rust spot for painting. First, wipe the area then tape newspaper on the surrounding parts within three feet.
  5. Once the area is ready for painting, spray thin coats of primer evenly. Allow the primer to dry overnight or at least 12 hours.
  6. Sand the rust spot using grit wet sandpaper. The abrasive is designed for sanding paint coats to de-gloss and smoothen the surface. Wipe clean afterwards.
  7. You should never let the paint sag so spray a thin coat of paint. If you have successfully matched paint colors, you may use several coats of paint to achieve nice finish and perfect color.
  8. To make the new paint blend with old paint, remember to buff the edges after application of the new paint.
  9. Let the paint dry for 48 hours. Wash afterwards then polish the car as you wish.
  10. Never ever wax fresh paint within 30 days after paint.

Use these 10 easy rust removal tips to remove rust make your car a worthy investment for your future businesses.

Rust and the “mediocre cook”

Rusting inside the kitchen can make you the most horrible cook in the world. You may be the highly-acclaimed chef in culinary school but if you fail to remove rust and you allow them to infect your utensils and kitchenware, you can be the mediocre cook in an instant. We have listed down three most common effects of rusting and how it affects your cooking practice.

  1. Rusting makes your utensils dull. Dull utensils affect the effectiveness of your cooking tools. Knives were made to help you with your cutting and slicing needs. Indeed, knives have indeed made the whole cooking process easier and faster. When rust develops in them; however, knives begin to work otherwise. They give cooks a hard time and prolong the whole process causing negative impressions to their cooking abilities.
  2. Your choice of rust remover can be toxic to people, to pets and to the environment. Some commercial cleaners contain toxins which when acquired by living things can be very harmful and unsafe to them. Toxins can cause a variety of health problems. The most common of which are skin problems ranging from light red spots to serious dermatological problems and a wide range or respiratory problems. This can be very dangerous most especially to children who have been diagnosed with asthma.
  3. You can get physically hurt when using a rusty knife. When you are using a dull knife, you become very vulnerable to skin cuts. The major danger; however, does not come with the skin cuts. The even bigger problem comes with the possibility of tetanus. Tetanus is a result of uncontrollable muscle spasm. In severe cases, the muscles which we use in breathing can spasm which causes poor oxygen supply to our body organs and the brain. When not properly given attention, this can lead to poor health and in some cases, even death.

These are serious negative effects of rusting which can undeniably affect not just your convenience in cooking but also people’s impression about your cooking practice. Find the most convenient rust removal process which best suit your kitchen needs and get rid of kitchen rust now!
