So many news had it that bed bugs are becoming more prevalent across the United States and even the world. And indeed, they are now more widespread. Nebraska is one of the states that could prove that assessment correct.
As reported by ketv.com, in the last two years, the number of the said crawlies was on the rise particularly in Omaha in Nebraska. And that increase was confirmed by the Douglas County Extension Office, it added.
Among the areas in city though, the report detailed that the infestation of the blood-fed pests is a much bigger problem in the low-income housing than anywhere else. One resident of the Omaha Housing Authority’s Pine Tower Apartments named Shavette Giddens backed that up sharing that she saw the pests coming through her apartment’s walls, vents and under the door. And after noticing welts on her and seeing the pests herself, she threw all their furniture, saving only a blow-up mattress.

“The Douglas County Extension Office confirmed it is seeing a rise in the number of bedbug cases. It said within the last two years, more people have been bringing in samples to get tested to prove to their landlords that there is a problem.
Shavette Giddens and her 7-month-old daughter have little left than a blow-up mattress. She got rid of her furniture and bed when she noticed welts all over her body.”

According to Kathleen Cue of the Douglas County Extension Office, bed bugs “cuts across all economic levels.” And they truly do, given that there were also reports of them infesting the houses of the rich.
But in fact, bed bugs could invade anything and not just houses of different economic levels. Any place where they could stay close to their sources of their meal, which could be you, they could infest. So, if you don’t want to pick them up and bring them with you home, you must always be on the look out for them.
Let’s say though that they already infested your place before you noticed their presence? What could you do? Well, the best that you could do is to treat their infestation early on. You need to see pictures of bed bugs, their eggs and nymphs and do a prompt bed bug check to confirm their presence. Then, you need to follow that up with a safe and effective bed bug elimination.
But among the methods, the use of spray for bed bugs is the easiest that you could implement without compromising the effectiveness of the process. And to also make it safe for your health, a pesticide-exempt spray for bed bugs like Bed Bug Bully is what you should get.
