San Francisco Housing Authority is trying to make reforms in the city’s public housing. And based on a post from kqed.org, the speed of their response to the residents’ complaints is one of the things that needs some change.
According to the account of one of the residents, bed bugs are some of the major problems in the city’s public housing units. And as she shared, in her case, it took two years for her bed bug problem to be resolved as the housing authority took some time to address it. When they finally came to spray though, she added that they did no follow-up treatment.
Because of the bed bug presence, the resident said that she had to throw away her new furniture piece. And because there was no follow-up bed bug treatment done to her unit, she recounted that she bought a bug spray and fought the pests on her own.
