If left alone for a long time, mold would slowly but surely decay any organic item or surface it would infest. But worse than that, it would degrade your household’s health.
Good thing for one mother in Colorado Springs, she discovered the mold in their new apartment early. It was said in a report that she detected the growing problem three days after they moved in. And immediately, she alerted the management and reported it the El Paso County Public Health.
The mother was Shaunae Medina, who moved to Pinnacle apartments along Austin Bluffs and Dublin in North Colorado Springs. According to her, the discovery of mold in their unit was prompted by the foul smell emitting in the room and the gray spots on the wall.
After informing the management about the problem, it was said that they tried to solve it by painting over the molded spots in the wall. However, a mold specialist said that it wouldn’t resolve the issue but rather sustain the spores’ growth.
Meanwhile, Medina plans to move out. And as she said, she’s also not afraid to take legal action if necessary.
