Cockroaches are a big NO in the kitchen. But because they there were found in the food service area of a restaurant in Capo Beach, health inspectors decided to shut down the establishment.
The restaurant is at 34235 Doheny Park Road. It was last March 12 when the Orange County Health Care Agency inspected its facility and found the crawlies.
A report about the inspection shared online said that, particularly, one live roach was found under the two-compartment sink of the restaurant. Two more of it were seen at the top of the door hinge of its two-door that is under the counter prep cooler.
To get rid of the insects, a spray treatment was implemented in the establishment. However, the inspector later discovered that there were foods uncovered during the spraying. And so, those were ordered to be discarded.
On the same day, some time after the treatment, the restaurant was allowed to operate again.
