There are two home-made solutions that you can use for your window cleaning project. The first one is made of soap or washing liquid mixed with water. The other one is a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water.

To start the cleaning, you will need a sponge or a special window washer called squeegees and you will also need to do the outside part first. You should remember that for the outdoor part of the window, the wiping motion must be horizontally and for the indoor side, it must be vertically. This will later help you distinguish which side the streaks are on.

After the windows are dried, check both sides for streaks. If you can see any, use a crumpled newspaper, preferably black and white, to clean the spot off.
