Black mold was putting a housing in San Antonio in a bad light. A resident of it complained that the fungus in the building was making her sick.
That housing in question was Precious Drive on the west side of the city. And that tenant complaining was Sara Olivares.
According to Olivares, the mold was growing in her bathroom, particularly, in the areas near her faucet. Worse, the problem had been going on since last year, based on her statement.
San Antonio Housing Authority said that Olivares had been offered to transfer several times due to the mold and construction issues plaguing the housing. However, she refused to, they stated.
Among those construction issues determined in the building were improper anchoring of the frame to the foundation, faulty installation of windows and doors and water intrusion due to roofing problems.
