The pesky bed bugs were recently sighted at a state government building in Chicago. And the incident was already confirmed by the Illinois Department of Revenue spokeswoman Sue Hofer.
It was in the Thomas Center where the critters were particularly sighted. They said to have affected seven cubicles in a floor only accessed by state employees.
An employee of the department, who got an infestation at home, was tracked as the source of the bed bug problem. Meanwhile, to resolve the issue, the offices the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation uses were treated over the weekend of last week.
In addition to the pest-control treatment, employees of the building were notified of the incident. They were instructed as well as to how to help prevent the further spread of the vampire-like crawlies.
