It was supposed to be a trip just for the eighth-grade students of Lake County Middle School. However, bed bugs crashed it and left the kids with annoying bed bug bites.
The signs of the critters were found in the cabin where four of the students stayed on April 16 during their trip to during a trip to the Keystone Science School. They were discovered because of the bed bug bites the pests left on the students.
However, the executive director of the Keystone Science School Ellen Reid said that only one bed bug was detected in the place. She added that an exterminator was also on the site within four hours the crawly was found.
Meanwhile, the luggage of the four students who stayed in the “bugged” cabin was sealed separately. Despite that, parents were still concerned given that the school bus used in the trip also fetches and takes students home during regular school days.

“Signs of bedbugs were discovered in a cabin several Lake County Middle School eighth-grade students were staying in during a trip to the Keystone Science School.
One bedbug was discovered sometime on Wednesday, April 16, as the students were preparing to leave the school and head back to Leadville.
Annemarie Duel, an eighth-grader at the middle school, said the students had all piled their luggage together as they prepared to leave the school. Then, she said, several science-school staff members separated the luggage of four students and sealed them in plastic.”

Bed bugs spread fast and wide because they are very good hitchhikers. They could hide and remain unnoticed for a long time in bags, luggage and even clothes.
That puts you and everyone else at risk. And that’s because anyone could leave them anywhere, and you or any other person could pick them up and bring them home.
Given that possibility is always there, you must be prepared to kill bed bugs all the time. To do that, you must stay alert of any sign of their presence. Apart from that, you must get yourself a bed bug spray.
However, be warned that most pesticides contain chemicals that could be harmful to health. And so, for a safe product that could truly eliminate the critters, pick Bed Bug Bully instead.
Unlike the majority of the pest products, it is organic-based and is in EPA’s FIFRA 25(b) list. It could also kill those pests in seconds as proven by hotels, hospitals and pest-control companies. And it works even on the eggs and nymphs of them.
