In North Platte in Nebraska, bed bugs found their way to one local library. As a result, the facility was shut down.
The critters were discovered on Tuesday. They were found in the two upholstered chairs near the front desk of the library hiding, particularly, in the cracks of them.
To get rid of those pesky critters, an extermination company was called in. And to give way to the treatment, the building was shut down on Thursday. It will remain close until Tuesday to prevent their further spread to the public.
This isn’t the first bed bug case in North Platte. In April, a homeless shelter discovered them in its women’s dormitory. Two years ago, the public transit office also had to battle them out of the buses.
